"Where the magic happens"

The Control Booth

In The Booth
The control booth is about the busiest place in the studio.  It is manned, and womaned by Bruce and Andrea.  Bruce is my director as well as technical "front man" on the set. Andrea is the graphics and audio "engineer".  She also serves as my asst. producer.

Bruce

 Director/ Technical Producer

I was born in New Jersey and grew up in a nice little town not too different from Keene, called Nutley, NJ. I played the trumpet in my grammar school band, and was a member of the high school Rifle Team, competing in target shooting competitions with other schools in the state. After graduating High School, I joined the Air Force and served for 10 years. I have been stationed in Texas and Alaska, and have had temporary duty assignments to Korea, Panama, and spent 8 months on a small island chain in the south pacific, called Chuuk Island, (sometimes called Truk Island). I came to Keene in ‘95 after getting out of the Air Force to be near my family. I like to play golf, ride motorcycles, watch Nascar and other motor sports, as well as spend hours and hours with my Playstation games. I have been working on “Unfiltered” since Sept. ’06 with Rick. I started as a camera operator, and have been the show’s director since the start of ‘07. I love doing the show because it gives me the opportunity to do something with my friends that is a lot of fun, and we can have a positive impact on our community.

Andrea

 Graphics, Audio/ Asst. Producer

I was born in Keene, New Hampshire. I won’t tell you just when, suffice to say, I have 5 grown and married sons and 14 grandchildren. I grew up for a most of my life between Keene and Vermont. After graduating High School, I joined the US Navy. I served 3 years in Tennessee and Norfolk, Virginia. I married and raised my family in the Norfolk area for the next 20 years. Eventually I divorced and returned to Keene. Most of my free time I enjoy reading, and watching old movies. I’m not a “chick flick” sort of person so would rather see more action movies. About 7 ½ years ago I became acquainted with someone and through mutual friends he and I became acquainted with Rick Blood. Rick always talked so excitedly about Cheshire TV, producing and hosting a show of his own, that it was impossible to stay away from participating in the production process. In Sept of 2006 I joined the show, and now run the audio and graphics portion of the program. As a result of my deep passion for NASCAR, Rick has asked me to give a NASCAR report each week. Rick likes to say it is because of my slight southern accent. Personally, I think that it has to do with how obsessed I become on race day. I also am listed as Rick’s assistant producer and am charged with acquiring guests when Rick feels that a guest is needed for a particular segment. I love doing the show because I believe that people can make a difference in their communities. I choose to try and be one of those people.
